The ‘Knack Am’ singer shared her emotional struggle. She consistently claimed to be 22 years old for three years. When she calculated her true age, she discovered she was actually 25.
“Someone asked my age, and I kept saying I was 22,” Yemi confessed. “Then I realized I was 25. I checked my phone and did the math. I became depressed for days. My mind couldn’t process it.”
She described the psychological impact as significant. “It was mental. For three years, I didn’t know my real age.” This prolonged confusion took an unexpected emotional toll.
Nancy Isime’s Tribute to Yemi’s Kindness
Meanwhile, Nollywood actress Nancy Isime recently shared a touching story. She recounted Yemi Alade’s support during her difficult early career days in Lagos.
Isime began working at 17 as an usher and model. Events often kept her far from her Ikorodu home. After late nights, she sometimes slept on chairs at venues. She relied on colleagues for temporary shelter.
Her situation changed when she contacted Yemi Alade. Though only an acquaintance at the time, Yemi immediately offered help. She invited Isime to stay at her off-campus apartment.
