Unjustified Criticism
The woman mocked him instantly. She found his request for repayment surprising. She believed he should not have sought the money. Even with the term “borrow,” she implied repayment was not expected.
She questioned him directly. “Did you truly expect repayment,” she asked, “even after I called it a loan?”
