Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has spoken out about his physical confrontation with comedian Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, popularly called Mr Jollof, aboard an aircraft.
VDM said he approached Mr Jollof during the flight to address their ongoing social media conflict. The activist claims Mr Jollof initiated violence by throwing the first punch, compelling him to defend himself. VDM added he sustained bite injuries during the altercation, humorously noting it nearly damaged his tattoo. Fellow passengers reportedly intervened to separate the feuding personalities.
In a social media post, VDM stated: “MR JOLLOF YOU BIT me, your fellow man. Haba JOLLOF WOULD HAVE KILLED ME IF I DIDN’T DEFEND MYSELF, GOD SAVED ME.”
United Nigeria Airlines confirmed both individuals were handed over to airport security after the incident. This confrontation follows months of heated online exchanges between the two personalities.
Background of the Feud
The mid-air clash stems from an ongoing social media dispute where VDM previously involved Mr Jollof’s wife in their conflict. The activist had made allegations about her personal life that escalated tensions between the two.
