Ademola Lookman Shines for Atalanta
Meanwhile, Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman inspired Atalanta to a convincing 3-0 win. They defeated Eintracht Frankfurt at the Deutsche Bank Park. This victory was the first under new manager Raffaele Palladino. He took over after Ivan Juric’s departure. Palladino had a difficult debut, losing 3-1 to Napoli last weekend.
Lookman broke the deadlock just after the hour mark. He finished smartly from a pinpoint cross by Charles De Ketelaere. Moments later, he became the creator. Lookman set up Ederson for Atalanta’s second goal. This firmly put the match out of Frankfurt’s reach.
The result moved the Italian side up to tenth place. It offers early encouragement for Palladino. He is looking to stabilize the club’s campaign.
Lookman spoke after the match. He praised the team’s resolve and reaction. “It’s a big performance for the team,” he told UEFA’s official website. “It’s a good victory away from home. In the first half we had a few chances. Coming out in the second half, we knew we had to create chances again.”
