Nigerian TikTok personality Habeeb Hamzat, famously known as Peller, has finally spoken out about his recent car accident. The incident took place on the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
The crash occurred during an Instagram live broadcast. Peller appeared visibly emotional during the stream. He was seen expressing distress over relationship issues and threatening to take his own life just moments before the accident.
Details of the Livestream Incident
During the livestream, the content creator repeatedly voiced concerns. He spoke about his relationship coming to an end. Peller also threatened to harm himself. “I will use this car and have an accident right now,” he stated during the live session. He later added, “I’m scared. I’m scared. If you break up with me, people will be mocking me. They will not… Thank you, I’m going to kill myself.”
Peller’s Apology and Plea
In an Instagram post on Friday, Peller conveyed his deep remorse. He issued an apology to Nigerians and his dedicated fanbase. He admitted that personal life pressures, combined with the pain of his recent separation, led to a lapse in judgment. This decision nearly cost him his life.
Peller also called on the public to stop bullying Jarvis. He emphasized that the entire situation does not revolve around her. “Nigerians, I am sorry for everything I did. I let my emotions get over me,” he said. “You can abuse and call me names, but please, I am sorry. I did not do it intentionally.”
He reiterated his plea: “Again, stop bullying Jarvis. The whole incident is not about her.”
