The Super Eagles have wrapped up their five-day training camp in Cairo and will depart Egypt for Fez, Morocco this afternoon. This move initiates the final phase of preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) starting December 21.
Nigeria’s national team is scheduled to leave Cairo midday. Their first training session in Morocco will occur later today. The camp transition allows full tactical fine-tuning before Nigeria’s opening match.
The Cairo camp began with just 10 players last Sunday. Rosters expanded throughout the week. Paris FC winger Moses Simon arrived on Wednesday.
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen completed the squad. He joined the team on December 17 before the Morocco trip. All 28 players will regroup in Fez.

During camp activities, Chidozie Awaziem equalized before halftime against Egypt. He capitalized on defensive confusion from a delayed free-kick. Egypt later secured victory through Mostafa Mohamed’s second-half finish.
Squad Updates
Head coach Eric Chelle finalized his 28-man roster last Thursday. The selection includes goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and striker Paul Onuachu. Both return after over a year out of international duty.
