Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Stanley Ontop (Ajemba Stanley), has made a serious claim. He alleges that fellow actress Rita Daniels was the rightful winner. This was for the just-concluded Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) national election. The election took place in Edo State on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Ontop reacted strongly to the election’s outcome. In a post shared on his Instagram page, he declared: “The AGN presidential election outcome is questionable.”
The filmmaker did not hide his disappointment. He further alleged that powerful individuals in Abuja had hijacked the entire election process.
Elaborating on his claims, Ontop stated: “The process appeared unfair, especially concerning Hon. Rita Daniels’ candidacy.” He also expressed concern over the “alleged influence of a powerful individual in Abuja.”
While acknowledging other successful candidates, Ontop maintained his stance. He questioned the presidential election’s integrity. He also regretted that “some delegates prioritised personal gain over association integrity.”
He firmly believed that “Regina’s mum would have won Yakubu hands down.” However, he concluded: “powers in Abuja hijacked it. It’s well!! Shame on una.”
