Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has called for immediate criminal investigation and prosecution of Senator Ned Nwoko. This demand follows explosive allegations by Nwoko’s estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels.
Daniels recently revealed on Instagram that she was only 17 years old when married to the senator. She also claimed Nwoko introduced her to hard drugs while underage. Sowore emphasized these allegations constitute serious criminal offenses.
In a social media statement, Sowore highlighted the UK legal implications. At 17, Daniels qualified as a minor under British law. Nwoko remains a registered UK legal practitioner. Any sexual activity would legally constitute statutory rape.
Sowore described the drug-related allegations as particularly disturbing. He stated Nwoko repeatedly forced himself on Daniels while she was underage. These acts represent grave abuses of power beyond moral failings.
The activist demanded immediate action from UK legal authorities. He urged the Solicitors Regulation Authority to investigate Nwoko’s fitness to practice law. Sowore warned against allowing political influence to obstruct justice.
“Impunity has an expiry date,” Sowore declared. He vowed to prevent Nwoko from using wealth or police connections to suppress victims. The case now centers on criminal accountability rather than politics.
