Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo, has made a striking appeal to voters: accept money from opposition parties but cast ballots for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Speaking at an APGA campaign rally in Anambra East Local Government Area, Soludo accused rival parties of planning election manipulation. He contrasted this with APGA’s focus on free and fair elections.
“Opposition groups are plotting rigging and violence,” Soludo stated. “APGA stands for transparent, credible elections. We want every vote counted and announced properly.”
The governor emphasized APGA’s deep roots in Anambra. He described the party as “not just a political movement but almost a religious institution” in the state.
Soludo delivered a bold message to voters: “Let them bring their money. Collect it. Then vote for APGA.” This unconventional advice came during final campaign preparations.
The governor called for massive voter turnout. He stressed that proper vote counting would naturally favor APGA as Anambra’s dominant political force.
