Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has launched strong criticism against businessman and politician Ned Nwoko. He accuses the senator of cruel treatment toward people in his hometown community.
Kuti alleges Nwoko nearly caused the death of his community’s traditional ruler. He further claims the politician attempted to forcibly seize ancestral lands. These actions reportedly targeted collective community property.
The artist also connects Nwoko to a separate controversy. Kuti states nine young men faced years of imprisonment under false terrorism charges. He attributes their prolonged detention to Nwoko’s influence.
Describing these incidents as acts of wickedness, Kuti expressed disappointment. He noted particular concern about such behavior coming from someone in power. The musician questioned how leadership could manifest this way.
Kuti on Regina Daniels’ Marriage Choice
Kuti addressed actress Regina Daniels’ marriage to Nwoko with surprise. He stated amazement that she remains with him despite the allegations. However, the musician shifted blame away from Daniels personally.
“I don’t blame her, I blame the country,” Kuti wrote explicitly. He attributed such marital choices to Nigeria’s challenging economic climate. The artist argued young women face limited options for stability.
Kuti suggested Nigeria’s failures create desperate circumstances. Citizens tolerate situations they’d normally reject, he observed. The musician concluded that improved national conditions would prevent such dilemmas.
