A secondary school peer of Lieutenant Yamari, recently involved in a public confrontation with FCT minister Nyesom Wike, has shared insights about their shared past.
The classmate, Olaniyi Festus Ayoola, connected via social media. They attended Victory Comprehensive College together in Port Harcourt.

Ayoola stated that Yamari departed during their second year of junior secondary school. He took the West African Examination Council test early.
The social media post described Lieutenant Yamari as a firm disciplinarian during their school years.
Ayoola recounted an incident where teachers instructed Yamari to discipline him. The naval officer administered corporal punishment as directed.
This revelation follows Yamari’s widely reported encounter with Minister Wike. The incident happened in Abuja on November 11, 2025.
Separately, a lawyer sharing Yamari’s name described an amusing courtroom coincidence.
Reports also indicate Yamari avoided a potential security threat recently. This occurred days after his confrontation with the minister.
Unverified accounts suggest suspicious vehicles followed him in Abuja. Yamari reportedly evaded them using tactical maneuvers on November 16.
