Satguru Maharaj Ji founded the One Love Family. He expressed a readiness to facilitate the release of Nnamdi Kanu. Kanu leads the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). This assistance depends on specific prerequisites.
Maharaj Ji shared this information. It came during a radio interview. The broadcast was from his temple on Wednesday.

He declared that a true effort for Kanu’s freedom requires two actions. First, the Biafra radio broadcast must cease. Second, the sit-at-home order in the South-East must end.
Political Resolution Essential for Kanu’s Release
The spiritual leader emphasized Kanu’s accountability. This pertains to the terrorism charges he faces. Such allegations typically carry a death penalty. This is according to legal statutes.
Kanu’s continued survival is “by grace,” he stated. His release, therefore, depends on political negotiations. Legal avenues alone cannot secure it.
“Anyone accused of terrorism faces a death sentence,” he noted. “Kanu survived by sheer grace. His release must now come through political settlement.”
Maharaj Ji further advised those seeking Kanu’s pardon. They must act with tangible commitment. Specifically, they must halt all Biafra radio transmissions.
Increasing Demands for a Political Solution
The spiritual leader is not alone. Governor Alex Otti of Abia State and activist Omoyele Sowore also advocate for a political resolution. This long-standing case requires such an approach.
He urged South-East residents to maintain hope. He assured them that efforts for Kanu’s freedom continue.
Governor Otti previously visited Kanu in Sokoto prison. He then met President Bola Tinubu in Abuja. They discussed potential pathways for Kanu’s release.
