Samuel Ojeogwu, widely known as Sammy West and brother to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has secured ₦5 million bail after spending several days in police custody.
The bail was granted on Monday, November 10, 2025. Sammy’s elder brother confirmed the development through an Instagram story. He expressed gratitude to supporters.
Arrest and Charges
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command arrested Sammy West earlier in November. He faced multiple criminal charges. These included conspiracy, trespass, assault, and cyber-bullying.
Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh detailed the case. Security operatives received a petition on October 28. It accused Sammy and three others of various offences.
Investigation Process
Authorities extended several invitations to Sammy for questioning. He reportedly failed to honour these requests. This led to his arrest in Lagos under a court-issued warrant.
After thorough investigations, Sammy was arraigned on November 6. The court remanded him pending bail conditions. His ₦5 million bail was finally approved four days later.
Legal Proceedings
The police statement clarified the legal steps. Sammy faced charges including criminal intimidation and theft. Court proceedings continue despite the bail approval.
