Nigerian singer Michael Olayinka, professionally known as Ruger, has raised alarm over citizens’ safety amid Nigeria’s escalating security challenges. The ‘Bae Bae’ artist warned that kidnap risks may intensify during December without urgent intervention.
Festive Season Kidnapping Fears
Ruger expressed particular concern for Nigerians traveling during the festive period, noting kidnappers might target those visiting hometowns. He stated via social media: “I’m scared for people this December. Kidnapping has become a full-time business in some parts of Nigeria and it’s only going to get worse.”
The singer emphasized travelers’ vulnerability: “People will journey to villages from abroad and across Nigeria. These criminals will strike hard.” His warning highlights growing anxieties about security during peak travel seasons.
Mother’s Relationship Deadline
Separately, Ruger disclosed his mother’s December deadline for him to introduce a serious partner. He revealed: “My mother threatened to arrange a match if I don’t bring home a girlfriend.”
With humor, the artist appealed to potential partners: “Interested ladies should apply now, or I’ll be on distress sale by December.” This personal revelation adds a lighter dimension to his security concerns.
