Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi has declared himself the most qualified presidential aspirant in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 elections, citing his governance experience.
Amaechi, currently seeking the ADC’s presidential ticket, recalled how criminal elements overran Port Harcourt when his administration began. He emphasized that economic activities in the state capital had completely stalled before his intervention.
The former Transportation Minister stated his team revived Port Harcourt’s economy within six months. He highlighted his unique crisis-management credentials among ADC contenders.
Amaechi’s Security Achievements
“I governed a state plagued by killings and kidnappings,” Amaechi said. “Robbery rates soared so high that residents couldn’t venture out in Port Harcourt.”
“Social events vanished and hospitals collapsed into crisis. Within six months of our administration, we drove out the criminals,” he continued.
“We restored normalcy, urging citizens to resume work and social activities. I’m the only ADC aspirant with proven experience in resolving the exact challenges Nigeria now faces,” Amaechi concluded.
