The Rivers State House of Assembly has passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This decision was made on Wednesday. Lawmakers commended his leadership style. They also noted his contributions to the state’s development.
All 26 lawmakers jointly signed a motion for this confidence vote. It was adopted during the 37th Legislative Sitting.
The House highlighted President Tinubu’s commitment. They specifically noted his inclusive governance approach. Many Rivers indigenes received key federal appointments under his administration.
Hon. Major Jack, the House Leader, led the debate. He praised President Tinubu. Jack stated that Tinubu’s policies have brought economic benefits. These benefits reached both the state and local governments.
Jack described the President’s leadership as fatherly. He added that federal projects are ongoing. Strategic appointments also positively impact Rivers communities.
Speaker Martin Chike Amaewhule also spoke. He called President Tinubu a compassionate father of the nation. Amaewhule affirmed that Tinubu has kept his promises to the Rivers people.
The Speaker noted 39 Rivers indigenes received federal appointments. This development, he said, showed Tinubu’s confidence in them.
Driving the Renewed Hope Agenda
After deliberations, the House resolved to fully support the President. They threw their weight behind the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Lawmakers also agreed to engage in grassroots efforts. These initiatives will build public support for Tinubu’s leadership.
The Assembly encouraged President Tinubu to seek a second term. They stated that Rivers State has seen real gains under his current administration.
