The Rivers State House of Assembly has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Lawmakers passed a vote of confidence on Wednesday. They praised his leadership style. His contributions to the state’s development were also commended.
This vote took place at the 37th Legislative Sitting. It followed a motion. All 26 lawmakers jointly signed this motion.
The House highlighted the President’s commitment to inclusive governance. He appointed several Rivers indigenes. These individuals now hold key federal offices.
Leaders Laud Tinubu’s Impact
Hon. Major Jack led the debate on the motion. He is the Leader of the House. Jack praised President Tinubu. He noted policies that have brought economic benefits. These benefits reached both the state and its local governments.
Jack described the President’s leadership as fatherly. Federal projects are currently ongoing. Strategic appointments have also been made. These actions are impacting communities across Rivers State.
Speaker of the House, Martin Chike Amaewhule, also spoke. He called President Tinubu a compassionate father of the nation. Amaewhule stated Tinubu kept his promises to the Rivers people.
Amaewhule highlighted specific appointments. Thirty-nine Rivers indigenes now hold federal positions. This shows Tinubu’s confidence in the people of Rivers State.

Lawmakers also agreed on a plan. They will engage in grassroots sensitisation. This aims to strengthen public support for Tinubu’s leadership.
Finally, the Assembly encouraged President Tinubu to seek a second term. They insisted Rivers State has seen tangible gains. These benefits came under his current administration.
