Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, estranged wife of Nigerian Senator Ned Nwoko, has reportedly tested positive for cocaine, marijuana, alcohol, morphine, and other hard drugs according to emerging medical documents.
A confidential report from Abuja’s Serenity Royale Hospital reveals the actress underwent intensive detoxification treatment between September 9 and October 15, 2025. Signed by Managing Director Dr. Adekunle Adesina, the document confirms Daniels faced severe substance abuse challenges.
Emergency Intervention at Nwoko Residence
Hospital records indicate their psychological emergency unit was urgently dispatched to Senator Nwoko’s residence on September 23. Medical staff found Daniels experiencing extreme agitation after reportedly being awake for 48 hours.
“The patient presented with verbal aggression, anger, and incongruent affect with an elated yet evasive mood,” the report stated. This emergency intervention marked a critical point in her treatment journey.
Treatment Challenges and Setbacks
Medical authorities highlighted significant obstacles during Daniels’ detoxification process. Hospital documents note “minimal progress in substance withdrawal” due to ongoing access to psychoactive substances.
Key challenges included frequent social engagements, contact with drug-using acquaintances, unrestricted visitor access during treatment, work commitments, and a diagnosed case of superficial thrombophlebitis (vein inflammation). These factors reportedly compromised the effectiveness of her rehabilitation program.
