Nollywood actress Regina Daniels recently revealed why she never filed for divorce from Ned Nwoko. She made this clarification in a recent Instagram post, detailing her reasons.
Daniels stated unequivocally that no legal marriage ever existed between them. The mother of two confirmed that they never signed any court documents. This lack of formal registration, she explained, made an official divorce impossible.
She further disclosed that she had desired to end their relationship a long time ago. Daniels explained she sacrificed her prime years, energy, and valuable career opportunities during their time together. Now, she seeks complete freedom and wishes to be free from any form of control.
Regina also emphasized a fundamental truth: love and marriage cannot be forced. She insists that her decision to move on deserves respect from all parties.
Regina Daniels’ Direct Message to Ned Nwoko
In her Instagram post, Daniels directly addressed Ned Nwoko with a series of pointed remarks. She began by stating, “Let me make this very clear.”
She asserted that any money spent on her “can never equal the value of the time I gave you.” Daniels highlighted this includes her prime years, energy, and the career opportunities she sacrificed.
Daniels then explicitly stated, “For the record, I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us.” She reiterated, “We were never married in any court of law, and no documents were signed.”
Her message concluded with a strong plea for independence. “Leave me alone, Ned,” she urged. She firmly stated, “Marriage is not by force.” And, “Love is not by force.” Finally, she advised, “Stop trying to control what no longer belongs to you!”
