Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has strongly criticized Emeka Rollas. Rollas serves as the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). Daniels’ reaction followed his statement that she “needs help.”
Rollas recently recounted an incident. He mentioned that senior colleagues witnessed Regina’s behavior on a movie set. These colleagues included Okey Bakassi, Chinyere Wilfred, and Jide Kosoko. Rollas stated that they all agreed Regina truly needed assistance.
The AGN president also recalled another event. Ned Nwoko, Regina Daniels’ husband, publicly raised concerns about her health. This happened during their son’s birthday celebration some time ago.
Furthermore, Rollas rebuked Regina Daniel’s mother, Rita. He criticized her ambition to become AGN President. He argued that her daughter’s home and health should be her primary focus.
Rollas also dismissed claims about Ned Nwoko funding the AGN. He expressed his disapproval of the lawmaker. Rollas felt Ned Nwoko made Regina’s health issues public unnecessarily.
Regina Daniels Responds to Emeka Rollas’ Claims
In response, Regina Daniels posted on Instagram. She claimed Rollas’s animosity towards her has a specific origin. She stated it began when she stopped him from bringing women to her home for swimming lessons.
The movie star further asserted that Emeka Rollas lacks achievements as AGN President. She alleged his focus is on visiting high-profile men with women. This, she implied, serves his personal gain.
Regina Daniels also faulted Rollas for discrediting her mother, Rita. She highlighted her mother’s past support for him. Daniels expressed dismay at his current actions.
She wrote, addressing Rollas directly, “AGN President, respectfully, there must be something wrong with you sir! To say I need help? You have no business spewing nonsense about my family or my mum who always sung your praises.”
Daniels continued, stating, “As an established actor from childhood to my prime, having witnessed your inauguration in my early years, I say you are a disgrace of a president.” She accused him of enriching his pockets under the guise of actor welfare. She challenged him to name any protection or residual benefits enforced in his eight years.
She pointed out his only “notable impact” was an office opened recently, after seven years. This office, she added, came after much public criticism. Her family, she noted, were major sponsors of this project.
Daniels linked Rollas’s alleged “bitterness” to her stopping him from bringing women to her family home for swimming lessons. She claimed this was a pattern for him. She accused him of using women to lure high-profile men. This, she suggested, was to “make your pocket bigger.”
She questioned what happened to the “fatherly figure” she once admired. This admiration, she said, was due to her mother’s respect for him. Daniels claimed Rollas was “paid chicken change” to speak ill of her. She also stated that she, through her husband, Ned Nwoko, and her mother, gave him greater honor.
Regina Daniels expressed shock that Rollas would try to discredit her mother’s election efforts. She reiterated her mother’s contributions to the industry. Daniels believes her mother has “paid her dues.” She sees her as a “perfect figurehead to represent actors.”
Daniels concluded by stating her preference for the industry’s leadership. She desires “a beautiful chair lady with advanced male advisors” to elevate Nollywood. “I don’t like rubbish,” she firmly added.
