Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling and his family are unharmed after burglars targeted their Berkshire residence on Saturday evening. The alarming incident occurred while Sterling, his partner Paige Milian, and their children were present at the property.
The burglary unfolded shortly before Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Wolves. Sterling was notably absent from the match squad due to the security emergency. A representative confirmed the family’s safety while condemning the violation.
“This constitutes a profound violation of privacy and security,” stated Sterling’s spokesperson. “We’re grateful to confirm Raheem and his loved ones remain unharmed.”
Thames Valley Police launched an immediate investigation into the 6:30 p.m. break-in. Authorities urged witnesses to come forward. “We’re conducting a thorough probe,” a police spokesperson confirmed. “Anyone with information should contact us immediately.”
Repeat Security Breaches
This marks Sterling’s second home invasion in under two years. During the 2022 World Cup, burglars struck his Surrey residence, forcing his emergency departure from England’s Qatar camp. In 2020, three men received prison sentences for targeting Sterling in a series of high-profile burglaries.
The England international joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022. After a loan spell at Arsenal last season, Sterling remains with Chelsea. He currently trains separately from the first team squad.
