Nigerian music star Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has announced plans to return to academic studies to deepen his understanding of the music industry. The singer aims to personally manage his record label Zeh Nation and oversee his music platforms independently.
Why Portable is Pursuing Music Business Education
In a video shared on Instagram, Portable explained his decision: “I already hold an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic, but I’m furthering my education to better grasp music royalties and business contracts. This knowledge is crucial for properly managing my Zeh Nation label.” The artist emphasized his goal to reduce reliance on intermediaries.
Portable’s Marriage Advice to Regina Daniels
Separately, Portable offered counsel to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels regarding her marriage. Commenting on her social media post, he advised: “God bless your home. Stay loyal to your husband – loyalty surpasses juju. A loyal wife enjoys life best. Value what you have before leaving. No outsider can make you happier than the man who provides for you.” The artist cautioned against those encouraging marital separation.
