Big Brother Naija Level Up champion Phyna has shared a poignant message honoring her late sister while celebrating her nephew’s first birthday. The reality star expressed deep emotion as she reflected on her sister Ruth Itabor’s absence during the milestone.
Through an emotional social media post, Phyna wrote: “Happy first birthday to Ruth’s son. Today, your mum is deeply missed. Grow old light, Aunty loves you so much.” Her message highlighted both her affection for her nephew and the ongoing grief over her sister’s passing.
The birthday comes months after Phyna’s sister Ruth tragically died in a road accident involving a Dangote Group truck. Following the August 31 incident, Phyna publicly called out both the company and its owner Aliko Dangote, alleging interference in the investigation.
Dangote Group responded with assurances of full support for the bereaved family, including medical assistance and compensation. Despite these commitments, Ruth succumbed to her injuries on August 31, leaving behind her young son who recently marked his first birthday.
