Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has responded to TikTok’s recent decision. The platform temporarily restricted night-time livestreaming in Nigeria. Peller assured his fans this move would not affect his earnings.
TikTok’s update now prevents users from hosting or watching live sessions late at night. This restriction allows the platform to review content. It also enhances safety measures for its users.
This development follows growing concerns about explicit content. TikTok aims to ensure a safer online environment for all users on its platform.
Peller discussed the restriction in a video shared on Monday. He confidently stated it would not impact him financially. He clarified that his income extends beyond gifts received on TikTok. He secures lucrative brand endorsements. These deals are often worth millions of naira.
The content creator also mentioned that influencers often give back. They provide giveaways to their loyal fan base as a token of appreciation.
Peller highlighted TikTok’s significant potential. He believes it remains a powerful platform for young creators. They can achieve rapid online growth there. This is often faster than on other social media sites.
However, he expressed concern for smaller creators. Many depend on night-time live sessions for exposure. These sessions are also crucial for their earnings. They may face greater challenges due to this new restriction.
He shared his perspective, saying; “People expect me to cry after TikTok banned live in Nigeria. They think I’ll go hungry. I am an ambassador to many brands. None of my endorsements is less than N40 million.”
Peller further added, “Many people will grow on TikTok. You cannot grow on Instagram the same way. Before you make it there, you post a lot. TikTok is easier to grow on.”
