The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially ratified the expulsion of several prominent members. This includes the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike. Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, is also on the list. The party has dispatched their expulsion certificates via courier.
National Chairman Kabiru Turaki made this announcement on Tuesday. He spoke to journalists after the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) meeting in Abuja. Turaki confirmed the expulsions are now fully approved by the NWC. This move aims to ‘sanitise’ the party. It is part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
Commitment to Discipline
Turaki stressed the PDP’s commitment to enforcing discipline. He noted the importance of preventing internal sabotage. “They have been expelled. They remain expelled,” Turaki stated firmly. “We have now certified their expulsion, and these certificates have been sent to them.”
The National Chairman also issued a stern warning. He advised the public to be cautious. “Very soon, members of the society will be informed via proper disclaimers,” he said. He emphasized that anyone engaging with the expelled members does so at their own risk. This applies particularly when they use the PDP’s name.
