A clergyman used social media to advise against National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployment. He cautioned prospective corps members about serving in northern Nigerian states.
Pastor @pfemiolaleye made this plea on X, formerly Twitter. He implored future corps members not to risk their lives for the country.

A Clergyman’s Urgent Advice to Prospective Corps Members
In a widely shared tweet, @pfemiolaleye stressed a point. Corps members risking their lives for the nation might be forgotten. He warned of potential denial. The nation might disregard their sacrifice if tragedy struck.
He urged, “Do not mobilize for NYSC if posted North. Stay home. I speak as a father.”
“It is unwise for parents to invest in children. Then, hand them to an unsympathetic state. Do not let ruthless individuals exploit you.”
He continued, “Seek safer NYSC regions. Do not endanger your life. If harmed, this country will forget you. Or it may deny your sacrifice. Be wise.”
This caution follows a tragic incident. Sixteen prospective corps members died in a road accident. They were en route to the Gombe NYSC orientation camp.
