Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has challenged the widespread practice of blaming President Bola Tinubu alone for national challenges. Speaking on BET Talks podcast, the artist emphasized that Nigeria’s governance issues require broader accountability.
He described Nigerian politics as fundamentally chaotic. Corruption and self-interest often undermine leadership at all levels, according to his analysis. Even well-intentioned leaders face systemic contamination.
The musician expressed concern about misplaced public anger. He noted that citizens frequently overlook their closest representatives. Local government chairmen, councillors, and senators hold direct responsibility for community issues.
Odumodublvck urged Nigerians to redirect their scrutiny. He believes accountability should extend beyond the presidency. Grassroots officials must answer for governance failures too.
“Politics in Nigeria remains chaotic worldwide,” he stated. “Power rarely unfolds as planned. Bad actors worsen corrupt leaders and corrupt good ones.”
The rapper observed a troubling pattern. “Nigerians instinctively blame the president first. But your local chairman, councillor, and senator represent you directly. Why hold only the presidency accountable? All public officials must answer.”
