Veteran Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola has courageously shared a deeply personal and terrifying experience. She revealed she was stalked by the same man for over nine years.
Akintola admitted she kept the ordeal hidden from her family. She feared her mother would panic upon learning of the harassment.
The harassment was relentless and constant. Messages arrived daily or every other day. This caused her immense stress and fear.
One day, without any explanation, the stalking suddenly ceased. This left her without closure. She still does not understand why it ended after almost a decade.
Akintola Recounts The Ordeal
Akintola recounted the distressing period. She stated, “I had some guy that stalked me for a long time. It was truly bad. I don’t know how it ended. I simply noticed one day that he had stopped sending messages. This went on for over nine years. He would send me messages detailing his intentions. These messages were very disturbing.”
She further elaborated on the severity. “He made me miserable,” she revealed. “He would call 50 times a day. He sent graphic messages. They spoke of his love for me and his disturbing plans. I never told my parents. My mom would have simply panicked. This went on constantly, every day or every other day, for a very long period.”
