Nollywood actress Bamike Adenibuyan, widely known as BamBam, has shared a key insight into her career. She revealed that she often declines deep spiritual or diabolical roles. This happens when she feels unprepared, either mentally or spiritually.
The mother of two explained her selective approach. Her high level of sensitivity as an actor heavily influences the scripts she accepts.
Acting demands full concentration. It also requires significant emotional strength. BamBam prefers not to take on roles that could negatively affect her mind or spirit. She only commits when she feels truly ready.
She elaborated on this decision. “I am a very sensitive actor,” BamBam stated. “I try to avoid deeply spiritual films. This is especially true if I am unsure or not spiritually ready for them.”
Her Approach to Character Portrayal
BamBam also discussed her role as Chioma. This character was featured in the film “Love in Every Word.” She first sought to deeply understand Chioma’s inner life. Then, she added her personal touch. This helped make the performance authentic and real.
She further explained her acting process. “When you get a script, you step into that character’s role,” she said. “I understood Chioma’s personality. I then added a part of myself. This made her seem real.” BamBam added, “Acting means understanding your character’s background. This allows you to react as they would.”
Career Highlights Since Reality TV
