Nollywood actor Shawn Faqua and event planner Sharon Ifunanya Maduekwe have created history by becoming the first Nigerian couple to hold their wedding ceremony on a moving train. The intimate ceremony was attended by close family, friends, and industry colleagues.
In a video shared by the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) on social media platform X, the couple transformed the train’s coaches into a beautiful wedding venue. The setup included floral arrangements, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and officiating ministers who conducted the ceremony while the train was in motion.
Celebrating this landmark event, the NRC commended the couple for their creativity and uniqueness. The NRC’s post read, “From lovebirds to locomotives, we’re keeping things on track. History made, the first-ever wedding on a moving train in Nigeria. Proof that the journey can be just as beautiful as the destination.”
