Striker Ramotalahi Kareem continued her scoring streak with the match’s only goal. In the 16th minute at Omnisport Stadium, Adjohoun, Kareem broke through Benin’s defense. She evaded her marker before slotting past the goalkeeper.
Despite dominating possession, Nigeria couldn’t extend their lead. Benin pressed hard in the second half seeking an equalizer. The Falconets’ defense remained resolute to preserve their advantage.
Tournament Dominance
Coach Moses Aduku’s team finished with maximum 12 points from four wins. They scored 10 goals while conceding just once throughout the competition. Ghana placed second with six points, while Benin finished without points.
