Popular Nigerian singer Candy Bleakz, legally known as Akiode Blessing Mariam, has reportedly suffered a violent attack. The artist was robbed in South Africa. This incident has left her injured and visibly shaken.
According to the singer, the unfortunate event took place just outside her apartment. She had stepped out briefly to get coffee when a group of unknown men accosted her.
The attackers assaulted her. They then made away with her gold jewellery. These stolen items are estimated to be worth approximately N10 million.
Following the ordeal, Candy Bleakz shared a clip on Snapchat. The video showed her in evident pain. She was nursing bruises sustained during the assault. She also voiced her distress, questioning the lack of intervention.
“Officer, why did you let them rob me like this? Why? You were there. You let them go,” she was heard saying in the clip, expressing her anguish.

This incident involving Candy Bleakz is not an isolated case. It occurs just months after Mavin Records’ DJ Big N also survived a violent attack in Johannesburg, South Africa.
DJ Big N was shot in the leg by six armed men. They reportedly stopped his vehicle in traffic. His jewellery was also stolen during the robbery.
He later recounted the terrifying experience. The bullet, he explained, narrowly missed a major artery. Fortunately, he received timely medical attention and recovered fully.
