Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, and Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru have joyfully welcomed their first child together. The couple is celebrating the arrival of a bouncing baby boy.
Speculation surrounding the birth began to intensify early on Friday. Reports indicated that Osawaru was seen at a hospital. This fuelled rumours that she had gone into labour.
Hours later, the lawmaker herself confirmed the heartwarming news. She made a brief announcement on her official Facebook page. Osawaru stated that the couple had been “blessed with a baby boy.”
This new arrival marks a significant and happy chapter in the couple’s widely publicised relationship. 2Baba and Osawaru formally began their union earlier this year. This followed the singer’s separation from Annie Idibia in January.
Their journey together quickly captured public attention. It started with a memorable Valentine’s Eve proposal. This was followed by traditional rites and family visits in the months that ensued.
In July, the couple held a private traditional wedding ceremony. This intimate event took place in Abuja. Only close family members were in attendance. Though low-key, the ceremony laid the foundation for their new life and has continued to draw public interest.
