Popular Nigerian movie producer and actor, Stanley Ajemba, widely known as Stanley Ontop, has finally spoken out. This comes after he regained his freedom from detention.
His arrest had sparked immediate concern and reactions online. This followed an alarm raised by his associate, activist Mama Pee, on Instagram. Mama Pee accused a person identified as Queeneth of using the police to intimidate and silence individuals.
Upon his release, Stanley Ontop shared a video on his Instagram page. In the video, he announced his unwavering resolve. He declared, “the struggle continues,” signaling his commitment to his cause.
Stanley Ontop Challenges AGN Election Results
Stanley Ontop recently made headlines for his comments on the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) national election. He claimed his colleague, Rita Daniels, would have won. However, he alleged interference affected the results.
The election took place in Edo State. Reacting to its outcome, Stanley shared his disappointment on Instagram. He openly stated, “the AGN presidential election outcome is questionable.”
The filmmaker expressed strong concerns. He believes the election was “hijacked by those in power in Abuja.”
Stanley elaborated on his stance. He said, “It appears the process was unfair. This is particularly true regarding Hon Rita Daniels’ candidacy. The alleged influence of a powerful individual in Abuja is concerning.”
