Prominent Nigerian gospel musicians have launched an urgent appeal for financial support. Their colleague Bunmi Akinnaanu, known as Omije Ojumi, battles a severe leg ailment. The condition has left her bankrupt.
Calls for assistance intensified weeks after her visit to G.F. David Ministries in Ibadan. Omije Ojumi sought healing at the Oyo State ministry.
Leading the appeal, artist Lanre Alewilese shared an Instagram video. He alerted fans about her deteriorating health and finances. “She really needs your support NOW!” Alewilese stated. He provided account details and urged national assistance.
Alewilese called for unity across music genres. “I appeal to gospel, Juju and Fuji musicians. Let’s set religion aside,” he pleaded. “Save the life of Sister Bunmi Akinanu.”
The musician expressed shock at her situation. “When Alayo informed me, I was stunned,” he revealed. “I believed God had healed her. I didn’t know she’s hospital-hopping.”
Other artists joined the support campaign. Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo Melody, and Akinade Olubukola amplified the appeal. Actress Foluke Daramola also requested donations and prayers nationwide.
