A medical professional recently took to social media. He revealed the substantial amount set to be deducted from his income starting in 2026. This announcement has quickly gone viral.
Earlier reports indicated that new tax reforms will be implemented across Nigeria from 2026. Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, confirmed this. He spoke during an Arise TV interview on October 16, 2025.

Physician Shares His Distress
The doctor, identified as Onyedika Justice on Facebook, expressed deep sadness. He specifically mentioned shedding tears over his projected salary deductions for the upcoming year.
His widely shared post generated significant buzz. In it, he asserted that the new tax reforms would effectively curb tribalism in Nigeria. “I just checked my tax starting from next year, I just burst cry,” he wrote. “All this tribalism will end next year. Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, everyone will pay tax.”
Public Reactions Emerge
The doctor’s sentiments quickly resonated online, drawing varied responses:
Yusuf Olatunji commented, “The tax is for whom? What benefits have we seen from taxes collected previously? Shameful elderly government officials.”
Awaken Man stated, “Then they claim their useless Jesus Christ controls Nigeria.”
Eze_Ezec added: “This explains why those agitators try to distract everyone with pointless discussions.”
@soulflows_F emphasized: “They continue to tax Nigerians and borrow endlessly. Yet, there is nothing to show for it. The nation remains undeveloped.”
