Doctor Expresses Distress Over Tax Implications
Onyedika Justice, the medical doctor involved, posted on Facebook. He admitted to crying after seeing his projected tax deductions for the coming year.
His post did not disclose the exact deduction amount.
The doctor’s viral post suggested that these tax reforms would ultimately end tribalism in Nigeria.
His statement read: “I checked my upcoming tax deductions for next year. I couldn’t help but cry. Perhaps these changes will finally end tribalism. Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa—everyone will pay taxes.”
