Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles, have unveiled their 24-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup African Play-off Tournament in Rabat, Morocco. Head coach Eric Chelle has selected a balanced mix of experienced veterans and promising newcomers as Nigeria prepares for their crucial semi-final clash against Gabon.
Captain William Ekong leads the contingent, with star striker Victor Osimhen and goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali also included. The defensive lineup features Bright Osayi-Samuel and Calvin Bassey. Midfield responsibilities will be handled by Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, and Frank Onyeka. Exciting forwards Samuel Chukwueze and Ademola Lookman complete the core group.

Nigeria will battle Gabon this Thursday at Rabat’s Complexe Sportif Prince Heritier Moulay Al Hassan. The venue can accommodate 22,000 spectators. In the other semi-final, Cameroon will face DR Congo at El-Barid Stadium.
Coach Chelle has recalled goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and Spain-based attacker Chidera Ejuke. New additions include Raphael Onyedika, Tolu Arokodare, Jerome Akor Adams, and Olusegun Olakunle. Defender Oluwasemilogo Ajayi will miss the Gabon match due to suspension from accumulated yellow cards.
Players will begin arriving in Rabat on Monday, November 10th, traveling from their respective clubs across Europe and beyond.
