A new video has surfaced. It appears to show Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, being arrested by police in London.
This video reignites past claims. Earlier reports suggested the singer was arrested. They linked it to an alleged altercation with his wife, Natasha Osawaru Idibia.
2Baba’s Previous Denial
However, 2Baba had previously addressed these viral reports. In October, he strongly denied any London arrest following a dispute with his wife. The award-winning singer clarified his absence from a planned UK tour stop on October 2, 2025. He stated it was due to a sudden health issue. It was not a domestic dispute.
Via an Instagram post, 2Baba expressed gratitude to his fans. He thanked those who attended the show despite his absence. He also promised future performances. He shared, “First of all, I want to say everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organisers and everyone that came out, we will regroup and make something beautiful happen.”
Warning Against Unverified Claims
The singer also criticized individuals spreading unverified claims. He emphasized the importance of fact-checking. Information should be verified before sharing. He added firmly, “If una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This ‘allegedly’, I don tire.”
