Nollywood actress Mary Remmy Njoku has publicly responded to Regina Daniels’ emotional video where she tearfully discussed struggles with her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko.
Some online commentators have criticized Daniels, suggesting she previously flaunted her husband’s wealth. Daniels addressed this in her own Instagram Story video, questioning whether people genuinely wanted her to share her pain and lamenting how fear of mockery prevents many from opening up.
Mary Njoku’s Heartfelt Message
In an emotional Instagram post, Njoku revealed Daniels’ video moved her to tears. She reflected on how Nigerians watched Daniels evolve from child star to wife and mother:
“Watching your video this morning brought tears to my eyes. We all witnessed your journey from childhood to womanhood. Seeing you seek help publicly shatters my heart. The online comments appall me.”
As a mother of daughters, Njoku shared her fears: “I pray if my girls ever need public help when I’m gone, God sends supporters. This world can be cruel.”
Addressing Nigerian women broadly, she stated: “This could happen to anyone. Real men understand that even after marriage ends, she remains their children’s mother.”
Njoku concluded: “My prayers are with you Regina Daniels during this trial. No woman should suffer for leaving a marriage. Stay strong.”
