Fulham manager Marco Silva has expressed his concern. He worries about losing Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze. The winger may be unavailable for at least 15 days. This is due to the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The tournament kicks off on December 21 in Morocco.
Silva’s comments followed Fulham’s recent defeat to Manchester City. He highly praised Chukwueze’s eye-catching performance. The coach noted his delight with the Nigerian’s impact. However, he also voiced his apprehension. He fears losing the winger once more to international duties.
“He’s getting better and better,” Silva stated. He added, “Unfortunately, we’re going to lose him in 15 days. This has happened three times in the last three months. But it is what it is. Until then, we must get the best from him. Let’s hope we can do it on Sunday again.” The coach shared these thoughts on the club’s official website.
