Laila Charani, the fifth wife of Nigerian Senator Ned Nwoko, has made explosive allegations against fellow spouse Regina Daniels. Charani claims the Nollywood actress introduced her to drugs six years ago, nearly destroying her marriage to the billionaire politician.
The accusations emerged as Charani responded to Daniels’ claim of having given her financial assistance. Laila vehemently denied receiving money from her co-wife, challenging Regina to a public verification of their bank accounts.
According to Charani, Ned Nwoko has consistently maintained a zero-tolerance stance against substance abuse. She asserts the senator’s current conflict with Regina stems from his insistence she address her alleged drug and alcohol addiction.
“How dare you say you ever gave me money? I am content with my husband’s provisions. We should show Nigerians our bank accounts to see actual transactions,” Charani declared via Instagram.
Charani revealed she nearly lost her marriage following the drug introduction incident. She credited her husband’s intervention with saving her from substance dependency. The embattled wife further accused Regina of negatively influencing household staff and family members.
“You infected everyone with your virus. I won’t trust my daughters around you unsupervised. Seek help for your addictions and misconduct,” Charani stated, alleging inappropriate behavior within the household.
The public accusations highlight deepening rifts within Nwoko’s polygamous family. Charani maintains her husband neither drinks nor smokes and expects all spouses to uphold similar standards.
