The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a stern warning. The party declared that the 2027 election is not about “confused coalitions” or “political experiments.”
Lagos APC Slams Opposition’s Internal Conflict
Mr. Oladejo, a spokesperson for the Lagos APC, stated that the opposition is in “full-blown confusion.” He stressed that the disagreement between the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Peter Obi is now a “public confession of collapse.” It is no longer merely an internal issue.
Oladejo also cautioned the opposition. He urged them to stop distracting President Bola Tinubu. The APC described these actions as “needless politicking and manufactured drama.”
While the opposition “fights itself in broad daylight,” Oladejo noted that the APC remains committed. The ruling party focuses on governance, economic recovery, and security stabilization. It also prioritizes infrastructure expansion and national renewal. This, he said, is under President Tinubu’s “firm and steady leadership.”
He emphasized the need to warn the opposition at this critical time. “Stop distracting Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he urged, “with needless politicking and manufactured drama.”
Oladejo acknowledged the nation’s “enormous national challenges.” However, he affirmed that President Tinubu is “steadily, courageously, and competently poised to overcome them.” This effort, he added, is for the “collective betterment of Nigerians.”
APC’s Focus on Governance vs. Opposition’s ‘Empty Promises’
The APC, as the governing party, sees no reason to rush into electioneering. “Our numerous achievements,” Oladejo stated, “will speak loudly for us at the appropriate time.” These achievements span infrastructure, economy, security, social investment, education, health, transportation, and national reforms.
In contrast, he argued that the opposition offers nothing new. They present “recycled slogans and empty promises.” Nigerians, he asserted, can now “see through these deceptions with clarity and experience.”
“Let the records show it clearly,” Oladejo declared. “2027 is not for confused coalitions. It is not for political experiments. 2027 is for prepared leadership.”
He reiterated that the ADC-Obi face-off is beyond an internal dispute. “It is now a public confession of collapse,” he stated. “Opposition in full-blown confusion, indeed.”
Peter Obi’s ‘Panther’ Strategy Criticized
Oladejo also highlighted Peter Obi’s unusual political strategy. He noted that Obi “hardly competes.” Instead, he positions himself “like a panther.” Obi appears to stalk “political parties in distress” to “strike when desperation peaks.”
“This is the deeper dilemma,” Oladejo added. He described Obi’s “strange political posture” as that of an aspirant who waits patiently “like a panther” for distressed parties.
With Nigeria’s “unwieldy number of political parties,” Oladejo suggested a pattern. He implied that Obi expects another “free presidential ticket.” This, he likened to “political manna” falling into his lap, similar to the 2023 elections.
“This is not political organisation,” Oladejo concluded. “This is political lottery masquerading as strategy.”
