The widely shared video depicted Korra Obidi. She was seen dancing with a saxophonist at Fela Kuti’s tomb. She described this as “honoring the legend exactly the way he’d love.”

Public Outcry and Reactions

Many online users strongly condemned her actions. They criticized her for dancing at such a solemn place. One user, Thabosslady, commented, “This tribute no follow at all. Some places require calm, not dance.” Another, Opejayek, stated, “Korra always finds a way to trend, but this one was not needed.” Amandaoko added, “You crossed the line with this one.” She acknowledged Fela’s love for energy. However, she found the act on his grave “strange.” Afiaukwu echoed this sentiment. She said, “Respect for the dead should come first. This was not the right spot.”
