Nigerian music star Kizz Daniel has addressed the backlash surrounding his absence from a scheduled performance in Paris, attributing the incident to a contractual dispute between his tour agent and the event promoter.
The “Woju” singer explained that payment disagreements prevented him from boarding his flight to France on time. Documents from his agent’s company confirmed the Paris event was ultimately canceled due to the conflict.
Contractual Issues Caused Flight Delay
In an Instagram statement, Kizz Daniel clarified: “FSHALAYE. First, this wasn’t my fault. This dispute involves my tour agent @olamidebaron and the show promoter.” He confirmed full payment from his agent but revealed the agent had sold the show to another promoter who allegedly breached contract terms by withholding balance payments.
The artist emphasized his readiness: “I’ve been prepared since 6 am for a 12:25 pm flight.” His brother @adesope_shopsydoo witnessed the events at their hotel. Unaware initially, Kizz Daniel discovered his agent delayed their departure to resolve payment issues with the promoter.
Although the financial dispute was eventually settled, it caused them to miss their scheduled flight. The next available departure at 5:25 pm would have arrived too late for the performance.
Kizz Daniel pledged to share the breach of contract notice as evidence, maintaining his professionalism while distancing himself from the business conflict between the involved parties.
