Popular Nollywood actor, Olatayo Amokade, known as Ijebu, has a message for Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi. He urged her to reconcile with her mother and end their public family dispute.
The family disagreement surfaced after Imisi secured the N150 million grand prize. This considerable win was followed by public controversy.
Imisi’s mother later released a viral video. In it, she claimed abandonment by her daughter. This brought their private issues into public view.
During her time on the reality show, Imisi had openly discussed her difficult upbringing. She spoke of early hardships and a broken home. She also shared the emotional pain she carried into adulthood.
However, Imisi later questioned her mother’s sudden online complaints. She pointed out their long-standing estrangement. Imisi also revealed she had financially supported her mother even before the show concluded.
Ijebu’s Heartfelt Appeal for Peace
Reacting to the public rift, Ijebu urged Imisi to visit her mother. He believes a personal meeting is crucial to resolve the matter.
He appealed to Imisi to apologise sincerely. He wants her to reconnect with her mother. His hope is for peace to return to their family.
Ijebu also firmly warned against further online discussions. He insisted that public “dragging” must stop once reconciliation is achieved.
The actor stated, “Imisi, I know you are a good girl. The Bible instructs us to honour our parents. I want you to visit your mother. Do this either this evening or tomorrow morning. Kneel before her and hold her legs. Tell her you are truly sorry. Allow her to pray for you. Despite any past issues, she remains your ‘mini-god’ on earth. After this, I do not want to hear any more online disputes. If I hear anything again, I will be very upset with you.”
