Popular Nigerian rapper, Ice Prince Zamani, has issued a caution to single men. He advises them against rushing into marriage due to societal pressure. The artist highlighted his concerns about the institution, pointing to the significant responsibilities and challenges involved.
Ice Prince on Marriage: A Friend’s Struggle
In an Instagram post, Ice Prince specifically targeted men nearing 40. He urged them to carefully assess their lives before making a marital commitment. The rapper revealed a friend recently got married. This friend is already finding it difficult to manage the demands of married life.
He lamented about the widespread apprehension surrounding marriage today. “My guy wey just marry 2024 no dey answer wife call again and wants out,” he wrote. Ice Prince then posed a question to single men approaching 40, asking about their current perspectives on marriage.
He further advised men to thoroughly evaluate themselves. “Check yourself properly before you tell person daughter or another man sister say ‘you want to be the head coach in her life oo’,” he cautioned. He urged, “Cleanse yourself first, look yourself well and tell yourself the truth first my brother.”
Ice Prince’s Inspiring Weight Loss Journey
Beyond his views on matrimony, Ice Prince recently opened up about a significant personal journey. He spoke about his decision to embark on a weight loss transformation.
On X (formerly Twitter), the rapper revealed his motivation. He decided to lose weight after encouragement from his close friends, Chopstix and Dami. Ice Prince stated he had no illness, despite being heavy. Instead, his friends inspired him to prioritize his health.
“I was literally about to explode… no sickness (Bless God), just bad habits and choices,” he admitted. He added, “But then Chopstix and Dami said, ‘let’s lose the belly, Ice,’ and that really sparked something in my brain that got me activated.”
Following this, Chopstix began visiting his home daily after dinner. They would walk his estate for an hour. Ice Prince cherishes their conversations during these walks. He noted they were as valuable as all their discussions since childhood.

The rapper also shared compelling before-and-after photos. These showcased his remarkable physical transformation. He expressed deep gratitude for his improved health. Ice Prince also promised fans new music in the near future.
“God so good inna me life… A short story!!” he posted. He announced, “It’s my birthday on October 30 and I will be dropping new music in my new body.” He further advised, “if nature didn’t make it, pls don’t take it… Health is wealth!!” He signed off with ‘#HealthyLiving,’ looking forward to celebrating his birthday with new tunes.
