Popular Nigerian rapper, Ice Prince Zamani, has sent a clear warning to single men. He advises against getting married solely due to societal pressures. The artist voiced his deep concerns about the institution of marriage, highlighting the significant responsibilities and challenges it often brings.
Ice Prince’s Cautionary Tale on Marriage
Speaking via an Instagram post, Ice Prince specifically urged men approaching 40 to carefully evaluate their lives before making a marriage commitment. He shared a personal anecdote to illustrate his point. A close friend of his recently got married and is already struggling to cope with married life’s demands.
“These days, they scare us about this marriage union every day,” Ice Prince wrote. He continued, “My guy who just married in 2024 no longer answers his wife’s calls and wants out.”
The rapper then directed a query to his followers: “Yo, Single fellas approaching 40, Wagwan?! Please, what’s the update these days?! What are we doing?!”
He further advised men to look inwards before proposing. “My brother, check yourself properly,” he stated. “Do this before you tell another man’s daughter or sister that you ‘want to be the head coach in her life.’ Cleanse yourself first. Look yourself well and tell yourself the truth, my brother.”
Ice Prince’s Journey to Weight Loss
In a separate discussion, Ice Prince also opened up about his decision to embark on a weight loss journey. He explained his motivation during a post shared on X (formerly Twitter). The rapper revealed that his close friends, Chopstix and Dami, encouraged him to work on his body weight.

He continued, “But then Chopstix and Dami said, ‘let’s lose the belly, Ice,’ and that really sparked something in my brain that got me activated.”
Following that conversation, Chopstix became a daily support system. “From that meeting, my brother Chopstix started coming to my house every day after dinner,” Ice Prince recounted. “We both walked my estate for an hour.
