User @Abdulganiyu0se1 stated details of the situation. Harrison Gwamnishu allegedly received N20 million. An extra N50,000 was also given. The activist stands accused of misappropriating some funds. These funds were for his sister and brother-in-law’s release. They remain held captive.

Harrison Gwamnishu issued a lengthy Facebook statement. He addressed the allegations from the X user. Gwamnishu explained his prior silence. He sought to protect the captive man’s safety.
Gwamnishu quoted his reason: “I remain silent for the captive’s safety.” He added, “The family, meant to protect him, now falsely accuses me.” He questions releasing “all that happened, including initial plans, for posterity’s sake.”
The activist urged investigative journalists to probe the matter. This would ensure a complete understanding of events. He also revealed awareness from Edo State government representatives.
