Renowned human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu faces serious accusations. He allegedly diverted a portion of a ransom payment. These funds were intended to secure the liberation of kidnapped family members.
The accusation originated from an X user. The user, identified as @Abdulganiyu0se1, posted the claim on the micro-blogging platform.

User @Abdulganiyu0se1 provided specific details. They assert that Harrison Gwamnishu obtained a ₦20 million ransom. An extra ₦50,000 was also reportedly received.
The X user claims the activist misappropriated part of these funds. These funds were meant for freeing the accuser’s sister and her husband from their captors.
Gwamnishu Addresses the Accusations
Harrison Gwamnishu responded to these claims. He did so in a comprehensive Facebook post. Gwamnishu explained his prior silence. He sought to protect the safety of the still-held captive.
Gwamnishu stated in his post:
“My silence was solely for the captive’s safety. However, the family, meant to protect their relative, has falsely accused me. Perhaps revealing all events, including initial plans, is now best for the record.”
